Bangkok Nightlife is buzzing 7 days a week. Which made selecting these tips no easy task. In 2006, I set foot in Thailand for the first time. 11 years later, I’m finally back. I was supposed to stay for just one weekend on a visa run. Somehow, I ended up staying two months. And honestly, I’m dying to go back.
I never thought I would say this, but I really enjoy Bangkok. Various hipster hot spots, a trendy nightlife, lovely restaurants, affordable accommodations and cheap shopping. Look beyond Khaosan Road and you’ll find a hip and trendy Asian Metropol, waiting for you to discover.
YAI YAA THAI: BEST LOCAL MSG FREE THAI FOOD IN BANGKOK
MSG free? You’re joking right?! Is that even possible in Asia? I don’t think I’ve come across many Asian restaurants, serving MSG free food. Yai Yaa’s food in Silom is not only MSG free, it’s without a doubt one of the best places for Thai Food in Bangkok. Delicious curry, steamed fish, spring rolls and Papaya Salad. Oh, and did I mention amazing staff? 🙂
IRON FAIRIES: BEST BURGERS IN BANGKOK NIGHTLIFE WITH COCKTAILS & LIVE MUSIC
For those looking for a little bit more of a chilled evening out with good food and lovely cocktails, Iron Fairies is the perfect place. Step into a dark world of magic, with bottles of fairy dust scattered around the place and you literally feel like you just landed in one of the Harry Potter movies. The waiter recommends me to go for a burger and prepares me one of their signature cocktails. The live band is amazing and the interior is so on point. Yep, lovin’ Bangkok nightlife.
HEALTHY HOTSPOT BANGKOK: THE BROCCOLI REVOLUTION
By far my favorite work spot in Bangkok, with undoubtedly Bangkok’s best smoothies and Vegan Food. I always look for Healthy Hotspots like these, wherever I go, and this has to be one of my favorites in Asia. Their interior is fresh, Scandinavian style and the food is healthy, yet to die for. Try their Green Smoothie Bowl or one of their signature Green Power Bowls.
ISAO: BANGKOK’S TOP RATED SUSHI RESTAURANT
I’m a sushi addict. So when I learned this restaurant is Bangkok’s top rated on foursquare. I had to go see for myself. Totally lives up to the expectation. The Sushi was amazing, unique and so fresh. Make sure you make reservations on time. It’s not top rated for nothing.
SHANGHAI STYLE FRIDAYNIGHT DRINKS AT MAGGIE CHOO’S
Maggie Choo’s lends for a perfect Friday night out. Walk down the stairs of this hidden gem in Silom and you suddenly feel like you’re in China. A small Shanghai-inspired restaurant serves amazing Cantonese food (try the noodles!), right before the entrance of the actual bar. Enter through the giant wooden door into the jazzy underground basement, and enjoy amazing cocktails and live music.
TIP: Lady Flora: a sweet green cocktail topped with candy cane!
BANGKOK NIGHTLIFE MUST: CLUBBING AT CE LA VI
Saturday nights are for CÈ LA VI (Formerly Ku De Ta). Dress to impress and party with a jaw dropping view over Bangkok. They typically play Party Pop or R&B to get the crowd going.

THE BREWSKI: BEST AFFORDABLE SKYBAR IN BANGKOK NIGHTLIFE
The Brewski is located on top of the Raddison Blue and is your most affordable option when it comes to sky bars in Bangkok. And let me tell you, there are quite a few. Another great thing about this place; their dresscode is not inforced. Yes, that means you can get in with flip-flops.
ARI HIPSTER DISTRICT
A local friend introduced me to this area and I fell in love with it immediately. You will find Bangkok’s best street food here, along with a range of super cute hipster like cafés, restaurants, designer Hostels and Air BnB’s.
