How to make money while traveling the world? Is it even possible? So many people ask me this question. After a year of constant travel working as a Digital Nomad, my answer is a definite YES! And here’s how to do it.

1. Find Freelance Work
When first starting out, freelancing is your best option. Why? Because most of us are not entirely sure about what we want to do, what we are good at and most importantly how we can do it! Browse through these two websites to get some ideas on what other people are doing to make money while traveling and sign up for an account!
Focus on a specific area that you’re good at, provide a service like translating, copywriting or assist companies with your accounting services. ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE, as long as you have a solid business plan! This is very important.
One reminder: prices are low, competion is high. Buuuutttt, you never know what kind of projects you might land! This is how I landed my long-term freelance project with 1421 Consulting Group!
When I was 16, I fell in love with the Chinese language and culture and have ever since always been linked to this beautiful country in the Far East. I worked very hard to become fluent in Mandarin and built a network in China. Logically, I started my Digital Nomad journey working online as a freelance China Consultant & Translator. Now I’m a Traveling Ambassador for a China Consulting Group in Beijing China!
I would’ve never thought about opportunities like these before ( I realize they are not common), but because of my growing online freelance network, this is now a reality! So get your but online, and who knows where you will be in a few years!

2. Remote Working
Remote working is all the rage right now, and rightly so. A Virgin Media Business survey predicted in 2012 that 60% of office-based employees will regularly work from home by 2022— and it’s not just a thing for 20-something college graduates working on startups or stay-at-home mommy bloggers. There are companies hiring remote workers all over the world, doing all sorts of different jobs.
“The typical remote employee is a 40-something college graduate earning nearly $60,000 a year at a company with 100+ employees” according to the Census Bureau’s annual American Community Survey.
Get online, find some vacancies or send in an open application to a company. Tons of opportunities!
3. Start a Blog or a YouTube Channel
Let me be very very clear, THIS IS NOT EASY! Most bloggers/youtubers only start making money online after a few years. It takes time! That being said, if you put in the effort and the time to grow your following you most definitely will!
