Where to stay in Bangkok: Niras Bangkoc Boutique Hostel

World’s Best Boutique Hostel by the Guardian UK. If that doesn’t catch your eye, I don’t know what will. Within walking distance from all major cultural attractions, like the Grand Palace, this cozy historic Hostel is located in the middle of historic Bangkok. Combine that with literally the most amazing hospitality service you can imagine, and you’ve got yourself a winner. Must-stay in Bangkok!

Homemade Hospitality

After an exhausting long train ride from Surat Thani, we enter Niras Bangkoc with sweaty faces and hungry bellies. Staff here is more than just friendly. In fact, homemade hospitality is their trademark. And I immediately understand why, as one of its staff members hands me a free towel and guides me to my bed. Whatever question you have, wherever you want to go, Niras staff is more than happy to help! One of the guys greets me good morning and asks me what I’m up to today, when I walk into the café the next morning. No, I don’t think I’ve ever experienced staff like this in a Hostel before. A definite winner.

Gorgeous Rustic Interior

As Dutch Country girl, I love me some rustic Interior. Located in an old wooden Chinese Shop, that was built during the reign of King Rama, Niras Bankoc features a charming historic vibe. Its old teakwood floor is gorgeous and I can’t believe dorm prices are so cheap here! The common room/café is decorated with attention to detail. I order a Vegan Sandwich and hear French composer Yann Tiersen play piano tunes that I love so much. It’s hard to believe we’re in the middle of chaotic and busy Bangkok.

Petit Payton Café

Organic foods, freshly roasted coffee beans and delicious homemade desserts. The vintage café downstairs offers a wide selection of comfort foods and certified organic coffee. Another big plus.
